Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai will is up with some huge twist in Kartik and Naira's life. In recent episodes, we saw that Kartik stops Damini Mishra in the court from accusing Naira and gives her Kairav's custody. After the courtroom drama, Naira tells Kartik that she won't leave the city and go back to Goa. She tells Kartik that he can now meet his son whenever he wants. She also tells Kartik that Kairav and his birthday falls on the same date which makes Kartik happy. Kairav sees his parents talking and feels that Kartik is fighting with his mother.

He goes to his room and remembers all those moments when he had seen his mother crying because of Kartik. He starts getting hatred for his father. Kartik, on the other hand, decides to celebrate Kairav's birthday in a grand way. Later Naksh blames Kartik as Kairav goes missing. They find Kairav in the cupboard and make him sleep. The Singhanias then invite the Goenkas for Dusshera while Vedika is in her own thoughts of the stranger who is troubling her by calling her. Kairav and Vansh dressed up as Ram and Laxman and prepare for Dusshera. Later Kairav stands behind the Raavan which is to be burnt on the occasion of Dusshera. They are about the burn the Raavan when they all notice Kairav behind it and save him. Kartik gets angry on Kairav and shouts at him which makes Kairav hate him even more. Kartik and the Gonekas decide to celebrate Kairav's birthday and they suddenly receive a letter from Vedika which read that she is going to US for due to some reason. The Goenkas are relieved that they won't feel uncomfortable celebrating Kairav's birthday with Naira now.

In the upcoming episodes, we will see that Naira comes to know about Kairav's hatred for Kartik and will be shattered. She will now decide to make Kairav realise Kartik's love for him. It will be interesting to see whether she will be able to make Kairav understand reality.
