Earlier, we told you about the Emmys 2019 list of Nominations that intends to honour the best and the brightest in the wolrd TV arena. Needless to say, fans are excited to see their favourite show win including Game of Thrones. To remind you, the epic fantasy series has garnered 32 nominations achieved the record of maximum nominations in a single year by a TV show. It has beaten 1994's NYPD Blue (27 nominations) to achieve this feat. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel also dominated the list as it got 20 nominations and we can't wait to the see the laurels they bring home this Monday on 23rd September. But hey, there is more to cheer for than just this! One look at the nominations for the International Emmy Awards and it will tell you that Sacred Games, anthology film Lust Stories and The Remix are nominated for the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards. While Sacred Games, starring Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, has been nominated in the Best Drama category, Lust Stories created has bagged a mention in the Best TV Movie/Mini Series category! That's not all, actress Radhika Apte has also received the Best Actress nomination for her performance in Lust Stories from the segment directed by Anurag Kashyap. Needless to say, the makers and the actress are over the roof and even took to social media to express their joy! Anurag Kashyap who has helmed both Sacred Games and Lust Stories took to Instagram and wrote, "What a day . 3 Emmy Nominations . 1.lust stories (best miniseries)

Anurag Kashyap and Neeraj Ghaywan directed the second season of Sacred Games while Vikramaditya Motwane served as a showrunner. Meanwhile, Karan Johar who directed one of the segments of Lust Stories shared the big news on his Twitter. "So proud and excited that our anthology Lust Stories is nominated at the Emmys." In his tweet, the 47-year-old filmmaker thanked his fellow directors Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Dibakar Banerjee and added, "Our quartet rocks. Thanks for the support."
