The cat is finally out of the bag! The leading lady of Nitin Kakkar's directorial Jawaani Jaaneman is none other than Tabu. The actress will be seen romancing Saif Ali Khan in the movie which also stars Pooja Bedi's daughter Alaia F. Jawaani Jaaneman is currently being shot in London. Sharing her look from the film, Tabu captioned her Instagram post as, "#jawaanijaaneman @jayshewakramani @nitinrkakkar #firstlook." In the picture, we can see Tabu dressed in blue denim, a black embroidered cape and she really looks beautiful.

Fans have given thumbs to her look and the makers are proud of their choice. Producer Jay Shewkramani, who is good friends with the AndhaDhuna actress, told Mid-Day that the role was written with Tabu in mind. "She was always the first choice for Saif, Nitin and me. Fortunately, she heard the narration and instantly said yes. It's too early at this stage to reveal her character; all I can say is that she has an extremely special role," he was quoted as saying to the newspaper.

Saif Ali Khan reunites with Tabu after two decades on the silver screen. They were last seen in Sooraj Barjatya's Hum Saath-Saath Hain. Talking about their reunion, the Nawab of Pataudi said, "Tabu is a brilliant actor. This part is funny on paper, and I'm pleased that she has agreed to play it as now it will be hysterical." However, the actor refrained from revealing that the actress is romantically paired opposite him or not.

In Jawaaani Jaaneman, we will see Saif plays a 40-year-old father to a teenage girl. On the work front, Tabu was last seen in Bharat. The actress made an impact with her special appearance in Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif-starrer. The actress also worked with Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet in De De Pyaar De, which was a romantic comedy.
