The Tamil actors union Nadigar Sangam is going into elections today and it's members would vote for the Office bearers of the union including President, General Secretary and many other posts. As the elections were held today in Chennai, Tamil actors of current generation and veterans were spotted at the Nadigar Sangam office who arrived to cast their vote. Vijay, Suriya, Vikram, Vishal and many others were spotted at the office in Chennai and were seen voting in the elections. The atmosphere looked tense at the office as the battle between two groups, one led by Vishal, and other lead by Sarathkumar lock horns in this year's elections. Check out all the photos here:

Few weeks ago, owing to the discrepancies in the functioning of the union, the government of Tamil Nadu intervened and appointed an IAS officer to oversee the proceedings till the time the elections were held. N Sekhar, District Registrar, has been appointed as the officer of the TFPC to take over the office till the time the issues are resolved. Sekhar was the same officer who was a member of the committee which investigated the irregularities in TFPC and submitted a report to the government. Reportedly, Sekhar will be in the position for one year and will be the decision maker for all activities related to the council.

With the elections being held today, the results will be out soon and the appointed officer will be replaced by the newly elected President and other office bearers.
