Today, 20 years ago, Salman Khan and Karisma Kapoor starrer Biwi No 1 released and stands as one of the biggest hits in the career of these two actors. Directed by David Dhawan, Biwi No 1 is a comedy entertainer and also stars Anil Kapoor and Tabu in other lead roles. And as the film turns 20 years old today, Karisma Kapoor shared a throwback picture of Salman Khan and herself which will make every 90s kid nostalgic about the film. "20 years of Biwi no 1 ?? during the song "Hai Hai Mirch Uff Uff Mirchi"? sharing a joke (and some secrets)? with @beingsalmankhan Memories forever @david.dhawan @bhagnani_vashu @poojafilms[sic]," wrote Karisma in her post along with the pictures. Biwi No 1 is a remake of Tamil film titled Sathi Leelavathi which starred Ramesh Arvind, Heera, Kamal Haasan and Kovai Sarala in lead roles. This 1995 release was a superhit film in Tamil and was remade in Hindi with Salman Khan and Karishma in lead roles. The remake too went on to become a huge success making this pair a super hit. Salman and Karisma have worked in quite a films like Chal Mere Bhai, Jeet, Judwaa, Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge and many others. Karisma Kapoor hasn't acted in films for a while and was last seen in Dangerous Ishq which released in 2012. Karisma made cameo appearances in Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Zero recently.

On the other hand, Salman Khan is gearing up for the release of Bharat which is slated to hit on Eid, June 5. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the film will have Salman donning multiple roles which includes an older character. Besides Salman, Bharat also stars Katrina Kaif, Sunil Grover and Jackie Shroff in crucial roles while Disha Patani will be seen playing a brief role.
