While it is not known who will essay the role of Sachin on the silver screen, Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor is keen to portray the legend's life. In an interview with IANS, the 'veteran' actor had said, "Sachin Tendulkar... Because I am a huge fan of his."

Two years ago, a docudrama-biographical film based on the life of Sachin had released. Titled, Sachin: A Billion Dreams, it was directed by James Erskine. It was simultaneously shot in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and shed light on his cricket journey as well his personal life. Sachin: A Billion Dreams also brought the perspective of Sachin s wife Anjali into play.

Director James, who had also co-written the movie, revealed how he got to know more about Sachin's life. "We started off just speaking to a lot of people, just speaking to the Tendulkars, sometimes by himself and at other times with the entire family. I tried to speak with eight people that he interacted with at every stage of his life, from his friends at the age of three, right through to Virat (Kohli) with whom he played in the recent past, just to try to understand as much about him as I possibly could," he told Indian Express.

That was then. Now, it remains to be seen how Sudeesh Kanaujia will present the life of God to the audience.
