Telugu filmmaker Mohanakrishna Indraganti is known popular for picking offbeat subjects which are viable in mainstream cinema too. The director picks actors who fit the bill perfectly and brings out the best of them. And continuing the practice, Mohanakrishna has now signed on Aditi Rao Hydari and Nivetha Thomas for his next. This yet untitled project will be a multi-starrer and will feature Nani and Sudheer Babu in the other lead roles. According to reports, the director felt that these two actresses will suit the characters he has etched out in the film. Both these actresses have worked with Mohanakrishna in the past. Nivetha made her debut in Telugu cinema with Gentleman which, coincidentally, starred Nani in lead dual roles. Aditi Rao Hydari, too, made her debut in Tollywood with Sammohanam which starred Sudheer Babu in lead role. Both these films were superhits and received rave reviews from audience and critics.
Indraganti last directed Sammohanam which was a romantic tale and starred Aditi and Sudheer in lead roles. Made on a moderate budget, the film went on to clock some decent numbers at the box office. On the other hand, Nivetha Thomas was last seen in 118 which starred Nandamuri Kalyanram and Shalini Pandey in other lead roles. Nivetha received great appreciation from all quarters for her impressive performance in the film.
Reportedly, this multi-starrer was planned with Nani and Malayalam heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan in lead roles by Mohanakrishna. However, Dulquer couldn't be a part of the project due to date issues and was eventually replaced by Sudheer Babu, reports reveal. Fans of Dulquer in the Telugu states would have loved to see him share screen space with Nani. But seems like fans might be disappointed since the Malayalam star is no longer part of the project.
