It's like redemption. Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi snatched the Highest Opening Weekend numbers of 2019 from Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike. So, the latter took away the throne of the biggest medium budget hit ever from Tanu Weds Manu Returns. If it is getting very confusing for you, let us simplify it. By earning Rs 157.33 crore, Uri has become the Highest Grossing Film in the medium budget category, beating Kangana's TWMR (Rs 150.8 crore). Yesterday, Manikarnika defeated Uri at the theatres. So, it seems Vicky took revenge on Kangana for going ahead of him (this is just a joke...no offence meant!).

Uri has been made at a budget of Rs 42 crore and has earned Rs 157.38 crore. It is more than double of its entire budget. But if you talk about the profit percentage, TWMR will still score higher because it was made at a budget of Rs 17.5 crore apparently and went on to earn a little over Rs 150.8 crore. If you do the math, while both the films are profitable, TWMR definitely earned everyone a little more profit than Uri.
