Actor Nani will be next seen playing a cricketer in his upcoming film which is titled Jersey. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the film is slated to be released in summer 2019 tentatively and will have Nani playing the role of Arjun and sporting the cricket whites. This is the first time the actor is playing a professional sportsman although his Beemili Kabaddi Jattu saw him as a player but not as a professional one. And as promised by the star two days back, the teaser of the film is out and already going viral on the digital spaces. Check out his tweet right here:

Just like the teaser, even the actor's words in the post are inspiring. Nani the cricketer in the teaser is seen hitting a six and that is what he says in the post as well, which reads, "No singles... No doubles... Straight out of the ground."

The video shows a 36-year-old man who has been a cricketer all his life but has failed miserably at proving himself in the game. Everyone around him is nothing less than demotivating but he makes up his mind to show the world that anything can be achieved if you dedicated enough, no matter what the age. In Nani's words from the teaser, "There are people who lost by giving up, but there is no one who loses while trying." Well said Nani!

Jersey stars Kannada actress Shraddha Srinath as the love interest of Nani and will be the U-Turn actress' debut film in Telugu. The film is directed by young filmmaker Gowtam Tinnanuri who shot to fame with Sumanth and Aakanksha Singh-starrer Malli Raava and the music of Jersey is being composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Jersey is being produced by Naga Vamsi under the banner SIthara Entertainments
