Kedarnath released on December 7 and marked the debut of Saif Ali Khan's daughter Sara in Bollywood. Now the actress has yet another release coming up in the same month, the Rohit Shetty directorial Simmba, starring Ranveer Singh. When we spoke to the Kedarnath director Abhishek Kapoor, he revealed to us how he encouraged Shetty to cast Sara Ali Khan for Simmba.

When asked if Sara came to him to discuss about Simmba, Abhishek Kapoor said, "In the middle when we were not shooting and our dates were moving around, she was keen to do the film. I was the one who called up Rohit Shetty and encouraged him to take her. She is an actor, she is here to make a career. If she finished shooting for me and my movie is getting done, she should be doing another film. She should be free to do whatever she wants. That's how Simmba happened actually. That's how it started."

It's actually interesting to see a debutant getting to prove her mettle twice in quick succession. So far Sara has been receiving praises from all corners for her portrayal of Mukku in Kedarnath and her chemistry with Ranveer Singh in the promos and songs of Simmba.

Also starring Sonu Sood, Ajay Devgn, Ashutosh Rana among others, Simmba is set to hit the silver screens on December 28. Watch this space for more scoops and updates...
