Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth starrer 2.0 has enjoyed a phenomenal opening week at the Box Office by collecting Rs 139.75 Crore at the ticket windows. After showing substantial growth over the weekend, it remained rock-solid in the weekdays. With this total, it has turned out to be the fourth highest opening week grosser of the year after Samju, Padmaavat and Race 3.

The film has crossed the Rs 500 crore mark at the worldwide box office and became the third film to achieve this feat after Ranbir Kapoor's Sanju and Ranveer Singh's Padmaavat. Karan Johar has presented the Hindi version of 2.0 under his banner Dharma Productions. Apparently, it is the first Indian film, which is entirely shot in 3D. Produced under the banner of Lyca Productions, the film stars Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson, Adil Hussain and Sudhanshu Pandey in pivotal roles. With 10500 screens globally, it is widest Indian release ever.
