Yet another week is over and it is time, we look for what made the most news in the South. It has never disappointed us as of now. Every week there’s something which makes everyone talk. This week however was a bit special as it saw the release of Aravindha Sametha’s teaser. Then there’s Geetha Govindam Leak and the first poster of Kaatrin Mozhi. But it was the flood situation in Kerala which brought all the film industries together. Here’s a quick recap of the week gone by.

Aravindha Sametha teaser

It was Jr NTR’s Independence Day treat for his fans. The teaser released two days back and took the nation by storm. It’s 52 seconds of pure thrill and suspense that will engulf you when you watch the teaser. Not much is known about the film apart from the fact that there will be some mean action scenes to leave people gaping. The first look poster of the film was released on his birthday which had him walking menacingly towards his prey, topless and flaunting his abs. There’s a sickle in his hand and a storm behind him. It looked pretty magnanimous. Now that we have see the teaser, we can say for sure that the film will have much more than what you see here.

Geetha Govindam leak

A day before it’s release Geetha Govindam got leaked onto the internet. Thankfully, swift action was taken by the cops in this regard and the menace was controlled. Fortunately, this couldn’t harm the film’s fate at the box office. It is steadily earning money.

Antariksham poster

After Tik Tik Tik’s super success, yet another space film is ready to explore the genre. Varun Tej revealed the first look of Antariksham on I-Day and it’s simply spectacular. Kaatrin Mozhi first look

The Tamil remake of Vidya Balan’s Tumhari Suli has Jyothika playing the central character. The film is titled Kaatrin Mozhi. The first poster of the film was released on I-Day which has Jyothika standing tall holding some commandments. It created just the right impact.

Prabhas rejected Padmaavat?

According to a report in Quint, Prabhas was approached to play the role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh. But he apparently declined it because he felt the role was not meaty enough. Shahid Kapoor later portrayed the character in the film which is one of the highest grossing films of this year. But we doubt Prabhas will ever regret this decision because Baahubali 2 is the biggest hit of Indian Cinema and will always be that. And we are talking about just the Hindi dubbed version!
