Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju has added many achievements to its credit. The movie entered the Rs 300 crore club today, the 7th Bollywood film to cross that mark. The money that the film minted has also made it the most successful movie of 2018, so far. It has also become the most triumphant movie of Ranbir’s career. Well, adding another feather to its cap, we have also sort of given an award to the movie. BollywoodLife is rounding up its favourites of 2018 so far. And when it comes to the best poster, we think Sanju is a winner.

The first poster of Sanju was released on April 24. The poster featured Ranbir in all the avatars of Sanjay Dutt that he has portrayed in the movie. From the ’80s Sanjay Dutt sporting his Rocky hairstyle to the 2016’s Sanjay walking out of the Yerwada Jail – 5 of the most iconic looks of the actor were there on the poster. The poster was colourful yet intense and intriguing. It was the best start to a long promotional spree a movie could have had. So, here we are, crowning Sanju poster as the best of the first half of 2016. Sanju has been directed by Rajkumar Hirani and is based on the life of controversial Bollywood actor, Sanjay Dutt. The movie also stars Dia Mirza, Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Boman Irani, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Vicky Kaushal, Karishma Tanna, Jim Sarbh in key roles.

Despite getting appreciation from all over, the film has faced criticism from a few calling it a propaganda film to clean the image of Sanjay Dutt among the masses. Reacting to such criticism, Sanjay has said, “I don’t think anyone would spend Rs 30-40 crore to change his image. That is too much of an amount. I have told the truth and the truth has been accepted by India, and the box office collection shows that.”
