Sara Ali Khan’s big Bollywood debut might just not happen with Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath as in unfortunate turn of events, the director and the producer Prerna Arora (of KriArj Entertainment) have had a fallout. As we reported, the problem began when Abhishek took to Twitter to announce the release date of the film. The filmmaker announced that Kedarnath will release on December 21, 2018, a date that was taken by Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero. This didn’t go down well with the producers, as it’s always the producer’s call when it comes to deciding the release date. By taking matters into his own hands, Abhishek made things go worse. Now while Prerna and Abhishek are not ready to settle the matter, Ekta Kapoor, who is also one of the producers (under Balaji Motion Pictures) is openly supporting Abhishek, who happens to be her cousin brother.
While Ekta has not said anything on the matter, but she took to her Instagram account earlier today (interestingly people are celebrating the festival of Maha Shivratri today) and posted pictures from their her trip to Kedarnath few months back as a part of the recce. “Bhole! U destroy to create again !!!! #kedarnath #belief #shiv (sic),” read the caption of the post, which is a collage of many photos. Check it out:

Later Ekta posted a video with the caption, “Killaaah mood at kedarnath so we looking high without BHAANG! JAI BHOLE! In a few months u will see the spectacle #kedarnaththemovie (sic).”

Notice the words ,”In a few months u will see the spectacle #kedarnaththemovie” there. Does this mean that Ekta is now backing this film entirely? Your guess is as good as ours. But one thing is clear that Ekta has chosen family before anything. While Abhishek has backed out of the project, Ekta is by his side, even though she has not said anything officially. Kedarnath also stars Sushant Singh Rajput as the male lead.
