VM Sudhakar, president of All India Rajinikanth Fans Association, has released a statement saying that the people who participate in the debates of news channels are endorsing their personal views, clarifying that they are not the official spokespersons.

“This is to state that for the past few days some individuals are appearing on TV
channels as Supporters or Fans of Rajinikanth and expressing their personal views in debates. It is informed that All India Rajinikanth Fans Association, Rajini Makkal Mandram have not authorized any such individuals to appear in TV debates on its behalf and views expressed by them in TV debates do not have our endorsement. The views expressed by those individuals on many issues do not reflect our official position in such matters,” read the statement. “Therefore as stated by our leader Shri. Rajinikanth in his speech on 31t December 2017, we once again clarify that official views on matters of importance will be disclosed only after the announcement of his political party. We earnestly request the cooperation of all concerned,” the statement added.

Superstar Rajinikanth is currently in Malaysia for the Star Night programme organized by South Indian Films Artists Association (SIFAA) to raise funds for the construction of the new building of Nadigar Sangam. The entire film industry is present there for the day-long-event which includes cricket, football shows and comedy skits, and dance performances by popular actors. While speaking on the sidelines of the cricket match today, Rajinikanth said his favourite yesteryear cricketer is Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. When asked about contemporary players, Rajinikanth said MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar are his favourites.
