One of the more exciting releases to watch out for in South is Solo. The Movie is directed by the maverick Bejoy Nambiar, known for his quirky style of film narration. He has previously made movies like Shaitaan, David and Wazir. Solo is a bilingual made in Tamil and Malayalam, and features a huge array of talent made of actors from both the industries. The movie is scheduled to release this year, and Bejoy has all his luck holding on to this one. Since he needs the good luck for the success of the movie, who best to give him that other than Thalaiva himself!

So yeah, Bejoy Nambiar went to meet the one and only Rajinikanth at his house before the release of his movie, and showed him some footage of the movie. We don’t know there were any future movie collaborations going to be happening, but that will surely be a cool idea. Bejoy had earlier worked with another South superstar, Mohanlal, in a short movie, while he had also directed Amitabh Bachchan in Wazir. So he knows how to handle legends. Can we hear an announcement soon?

Starring Dulquer Salman in the lead, Solo is an anthology of four tales where Dulquer takes on various garbs. So in one tale he is the lovelorn army man, Rudra, and in another, he is a ruthless gangster called Siva. Then there is the stammering student Shekhar, and a commoner Trilok. The movie features an ensemble cast with actors like Sai Dhansika, Neha Sharma, Dino Morea, Manoj K Jayan, Sathish, Nassar, Suresh Menon, Sruthi Hariharan, Prakash Belawadi, Govind Menon, Siddharth Menon, Qaushiq Mukherjee, Sai Tamhankar, Dinesh Prabhakar, Soubin Shahir, John Vijay, Sheelu Abraham, Arthi Venkatesh, Ann Augustine, Anson Paul and R. Parthiepan in the roster.

Solo is scheduled to release on October 5.
