What better way to celebrate south superstar Suriya’s 42nd birthday. While the makers unveiled the actor’s first look from his next Thaana Serndha Koottam this morning. We now have the official poster of the film and boy we might as well add, it looks damn intriguing. Not that Suriya has got any makeover as such but there’s something about this poster that will instantly get you hooked for he you see Suriya in two different situations – one alone and one amidst a group of people. If rumours are to be believed true then, Thaana Serndha Koottam is said to be nothing but an official remake of Akshay Kumar starrer Special 26. But do you still think its a remake after checking out this poster?

Directed by Vignesh Shivan, Thaana Serndha Koottam is he film also stars Keerthy Suresh, Senthil, Karthik and Ramya Krishnan. In fact, going by the leaked stills that are doing the rounds on the internet, Ramya has already begun shooting for her bit as the film is soon expected to wrap up its last schedule and also get it dubbed in Telugu, for its bilingual release. Now it’s left to see if Suriya’s Thaana Serndha Koottam will turn out to be as bigger hit as Akshay’s Special 26, that is if at all the film is a remake of the same…

After Thaana Serntha Kootam, Suriya is likely to team up with filmmaker Sudha Kongara for a yet-to-be-titled film which is still in its discussion stage. Reveals a source close to the project,  “Contrary to the rumours, the project is not yet locked. They did meet and discuss over a story but nothing was finalised. Suriya is busy wrapping up ‘Thaana Serntha Kootam’, and he can only take a call once he finishes shooting for this film.
