Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Naira (Shivangi Joshi) and Kartik (Mohsin Khan) returning back to their apartment. Both the families welcome them with a lot of love. Dadi(Swati Chitnis) wards of evil eye from Naira and says that they would also do some pooja once she is even better. Akhilesh(Ali Hassan) informs everyone that there would be bodyguards outside their apartment and also CCTV camera are installed outside. Kartik speaks to Daadi and says he would wish to come back home with Naira if she permits them. All of them are overwhelmed, Daadi says that it is his house and he needs no permission to come there. They decide to conduct a pooja and take out muhurat to welcome back both their Daughter-in-law and Grandson. Kartik also surprises Manish(Sachin Tyagi) and Swarna (Parul Chauhan) by thanking them for saving Naira’s life. Kartik says he learnt the importance of leaving past things behind before pursuing new things on his wedding day itself, Manish and Akhilesh are moved to hear this.

Aditya(Romit Sharma) comes there with flowers. He hears the happy news and says that they never know what happiness awaits them. He comes in hands over the bouquet to Naira to the anguish of Naksh(Rishi Dev). He has made up his mind to add misery to the family’s happiness watch the show. Daadi says she needs to prepare for tomorrow and they leave. Naksh goes down to see them off. Naira happily thanks God for making her wish come true, when Swarna comes in and apologises for burdening Naira with her expectations. She says she did a mistake by thinking that Naira could so easily do what she could not for so many years , but she also says she trusts Naira completely from the moment she knew her. She says sorry for putting Kartik and Naira’s relationship at risk with the burden of her expectations. Naira consoles her by saying that trying to mend relationships is not bad and she knows very well what Swarna’s intentions were. Swarna asks Naira to come home soon as the house seems empty without her.(Also Read:  Naira is critically injured while the families pray together for her recovery)

Naksh runs to stop Aditya and begs him not to reveal anything to Naira. He says that Aditya could very well slap him in public to avenge the slap that Naksh had given him. Aditya says he would never let go off such a big opportunity he had got to destroys Naira’s happiness as Naira keeps accusing him of various things. Naksh again begs him and says he himself would ask Naira to not interfere in Aditya’s business.

Naira hears a phone ringing and sees it to be that of Mansi’s. She picks it up, takes the flat keys and goes out. As she come to the passage she sees Naksh with his hand folded infront of Aditya. Naira once again asks Naksh what the problem is, but Naksh avoids her question and says he would hand over the phone to Mansi and she should go back and rest. Naksh and Aditya move down leaving Naira confused.

Naitik (Vishal Singh) hugs Kartik and says he is sorry for being rude to him in hospital, but Kartik silences him by saying he would have taken a beating too from Naitik at that time as he knows Naitik was worried about Naira. They hug each other as Aditya intervenes and says he too wants to let go of some things in the past and raises his hands as if to slap Naksh as everyone looks on tensed. But he pats Naksh’s back and hugs him, again making Daadi praise him for his big heart. But Naksh is aware that Aditya is just playing his card well for the big revelation.

Naira and Kartik have sweets to fill the house with its sweetness as they leave the house tomorrow, as she wishes the new occupants a lot of happiness there. They hug each other as Kartik thanks Naira for making him understand the importance of family and giving him back his family. Naira and Kartik promise that they would never live without their families ever again.

At Goenka house everyone is brimming with joy and are busy preparing for Naira and Kartik’s arrival the next day. Aditya taunts Daadi by saying they never know what would happen the next moment, Daadi is oblivious to his tone but Keerthi (Mohena Singh) senses trouble and asks Aditya what he meant, she also warns him that she would not be able to bear any more trouble that he plans. Daadi though happily says Aditya has a big heart that he forgave Naksh and she also taunts Swarna saying anybody else who has anything to apologise for, should do so and from tomorrow they should all start afresh. Mansi hears this and is struck by the thought.

Precap: Luv and Kush speak about Mansi going away alone to meet Naira with a Sorry card intead of a welcome card, they do not understand why she went when Naira was supposed to come home that day. Manish and Akhilesh hear this and are troubled as there is a big storm and Naira is trying to close all windows. Mansi reaches below the apartment as Naira is seen walking towards the car.
