It looks like Sanjay Dutt just can’t swerve his way around legal issues. Last year, Sanjay Dutt had finally got released from Yerwada Jail after the completion of his term for his alleged involvement in the 1993 Bombay Blasts case. The actor is all set to make his comeback with Bhoomi, that’s directed by Sarbjit film-maker Omung Kumar. However, the shoot of the movie came under the scanner when Sanjay Dutt‘s bodyguards got into a tussle with journalists, and Sanjay Dutt had to apologise for their sake. And now the actor has more legal trouble in store for him, if reports are to be believed.
As per a report in ANI, a non-bailable warrant has been issued against Sanjay Dutt for threatening Shakil Noorani, a film-maker and not appearing in a cheque bounce case. Noorani had filed a case against Sanjay Dutt of non-repayment of services. As per the case, Sanjay Dutt had taken Rs 50 lacs as payment to be a part of one of Noorani’s movies. However, the actor only shot for two days for the movie, and the reports say that he didn’t complete the rest of the shoot. Failing to do do, Sanjay Dutt was supposed to pay a sum of Rs 1 crore to Noorani, which allegedly Sanjay Dutt failed to do.
Here’s what Sanjay Dutt’s spokesperson had to say about the warrant, “This case has been going on for a long time and the present situation has arisen because of the communication lapse between our lawyers and us. We respect the urgency shown by the honourable court regarding our attendance/ representation and we would take immediate measure to rectify the situation.”
We do hope that Sanjay Dutt manages to solve the issues at the earliest.
