Shakti begins with Soumya (Rubina Dilaik) doing haldi of Harman (Vivian Dsena) and Surbhi (Roshni Sahota). Harman walks off from there angrily. He calls Surbhi to his room and yells at her. He says why did you agree for this marriage? He says I will never be able to love you. She says why can’t you refuse. He says I have promised someone. Surbhi says even I am bound my promise. Preeto (Kamya Punjabi) calls Soumya to her room and shows her a new sherwani, which he will wear for his second marriage. She says I have brought home a girl who can give us a grandchild. She also shows her the red sherwani which he wore for his wedding to Soumya and says she will throw it away. Surbhi says I cannot reveal anything to you. Harman tells her that an individual must learn to live for oneself in life and no one gets anyone’s support. Soumya knocks at the door. Surbhi says what will people think that I am doing in your room? She opens the door hearing Soumya’s voice and says Harman wanted to talk to you.

Soumya says tell me. Surbhi says I knew you would not be able to say it in front of Didi. She tells Soumya to wear a pink dress in the wedding as she is Harman’s Gulabo. Soumya keeps the new sherwani of Harman in the room and says Mummyji wants you to wear this sherwani and get ready. Harman grabs her hand. She tells him to leave her hand as there is work at home. Harman says I cannot do this marriage. Soumya says this marriage is important as everything will be fine after this wedding. She walks out of the room in tears.

She goes and gets dressed in a pink lehenga. Soumya decks Surbhi for her marriage with Harman. She says I always dreamt of decking you up for your marriage. Soumya says my sister is looking like world’s best bride. Soumya removes the bangles gifted to her by Nimmi (Reena Kapoor) and gives them to Surbhi. She says mom knew I could never be a bride. Surbhi refuses the bangles saying that she has no right on them. Soumya insists and she wears one. Surbhi makes her wear the other one. Soumya says you have saved me Surbhi and my life belongs to you. Naani says we hope that God blesses their love always. Bebe says after this wedding, they will be soutens and all love between them will be over.

Sindhu tells Soumya that she likes her a lot and hopes that she will stay with them always. Harman tells Surbhi at the mandap to refuse for the marriage. Soumya thinks my sister destroyed her happiness by marrying Harman. They exchange garlands. Preeto and Harak Singh look on happily. The priest tells them to gat-bandhan. He tells him to put sindoor on Surbhi’s forehead. Soumya looks on with tears. The priest gives the mangalsutra to Harman. He is extremely hesitant while doing all the rituals. When it is time for pheras, Surbhi says these pheras won’t happen. Everyone is shocked. Surbhi tells the priest to say the mantras. She says my sister, I and Harman will take the pheras together. The priest says this is an insult of marriage. Maninder (Ayub Khan) says what sort of joke is this. She says I have no right to take the whole place of my sister because she cannot become a mother. She says we will do the seven vows together. Preeto says it is fine with me. Surbhi says God did not mind while making my sister incomplete, he will not mind the three of us taking pheras together. Harman takes pheras with his two wives. Preeto says I will make you two sisters my maid-servants.
