Just to be clear, Marvel hasn't officially said that they will be paying Scarlett Johansson $15 million and a rep has even responded to the Hollywood Reporter saying: "Marvel Studios disputes the accuracy of these numbers, and as a matter of policy, we never publicly disclose salaries or deal terms."

But, $15 million isn't a crazy figure because both Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth earned about the same for there roles as Captain America and Thor in Avengers: Infinity War ONLY! So, Scarlett Johansson earning $15 million to play Black Widow in a solo feature isn't that farfetched given that she is a veteran in the MCU.

However, one must note that Brie Larson only secured $5 million for her role as Captain Marvel - which comes part and parcel with a 7-picture deal. But, Brie Larson is new to the MCU so $5 million is not too shabby.
