Irregularities in the functioning of unauthorized Research Centre also includes:
- Full-time scholars employed in the same college and elsewhere as full-time faculty which is against the policy and regulations of UGC and the University
- Unapproved and ineligible Guides being used for guiding students - this by count includes at least two - which is once again against the policy and regulations of UGC and the University
- Absence of ‘approved’ Guides in the campus and counting of one gentleman working in another university as a guide in this centre as well - which once again go against the policies and regulations of UGC and the University
- Intake of Scholars into Research Centre despite its cancellation since 2016 – two students were admitted for MPhil in 2018 while three were admitted in 2017 and three were admitted in 2016. Further there was call for admission to this research centre in the brochure released by the college for the year 2019 as well - no one eligible to receive the certificate they yearned for as the centre itself was unauthorized which the management never disclosed to them which perhaps is not rocket science to be understood by now
Were certificates issued to these students by the college admitted since the cancellation of the research centre by the University? How did they manage to procure the certificates if issued? What was the motive behind collecting fees and admitting students into an unauthorized research centre run with unauthorized guides who are now not eligible to receive certificates from the university? How did this autonomous college manage to commit and escape these outright violations of University and UGC statutes that have been brought up to the notice of both the centre and the state? With what face are they going to answer these students and scholars for the loss of their effort, energy and time put in and money that was invested in vain?
