Aguilera, 38, appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Tuesday and confirmed that "Christina Aguilera: The Xperience" is set to open at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino on May 31.

"How much easier for everyone to just come to one place and fill the venue with fantasy and love and excitement, and put on a show that I've actually been accumulating for years, these amazing ideas and taking people on this amazing ride and trip and using the imagination", the five-time Grammy winner told DeGeneres.

Aguilera annouced 16 performances. Tickets will go on sale on Saturday.

Aguilera rose to fame with her big hit "Genie in a Bottle" back in 1999. She dropped the album "Liberation" last year.

Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey and Celine Dion are among the stars who have made Las Vegas a temporary home.
