You don’t always have to be fancy with place card settings, but you can still be super-stylish. Tying together a bunch of rosemary with either some ribbon or festive velvet material is a classy alternative to elaborate decor. Accompanied with a simple textured name card and on dark crockery can really give a rustic edge to this style.

Festive party favours

Want the class but with an element of fun? How about adding a simple candy cane into the mix? Tie with ribbon along with a fresh and festive smelling herb and a napkin and tie on a gift tag with your guest’s name. Fragrance, favour and place name all in one!

Glam up Christmas lunch with simple yet sweet bauble place names! Use your favourite baubles (we can all admit to owning too many for the size of our tree!) as holders for your guest’s names by securing with thin wire and tying with ribbon. Sticking to pastel-coloured baubles will really enhance the effect of any fairy lights or candles you may decide to use.

If you’re a nature lover (like us!), you don’t have to stop there with the Christmas tree! Why not decorate your dinner table with fir branches and natural pine cones? If you can source a big branch then that’s the length of your table sorted! Along with some forest pine cones nestled within and scattered jarred candles, this is a really simplistic yet stylish festive look.

Classic rustic

Go rustic with a driftwood candle holder for a more primal-chic style. You can create this by drilling shallow holes along the wood and placing in a row of tea lights. The result? A warm festive atmosphere for your Christmas meal or drink celebrations.

Small scenery

If you can’t decide on a centre piece, why not mix it up with a plate of all your favourite festive pieces! Filling a glass jar full of water and with your favourite festive herbs and fruits is a great way to bring glimmering light into your table setting. The candle will reflect beautifully off the water whilst the contents bring a small dash of colour and flavour to your table. This is definitely one for Christmas day!

Mason jar fairy lights

If candles aren’t you’re think or your worried about their safety around small children, then fairy lights are another potential for bringing light onto the table in a super-stylish and fashionably festive way! They also shine slightly brighter than candles, giving off a real festive glow!
