Missoula is known for its stunning scenery and plethora of outdoor activities, which makes it rather a downer when the weather is bad. However, fear not, as there are a large number of activities for visitors to partake in, regardless of the inclement weather outside.
One of the many things that visitors can do when the rain hits, is head to a Brewery. Bayern Brewery is the oldest brewery in Montana, opening in 1987. Its other claim to fame is Moose Drool Brown Ale, which is known not just within the state, but throughout the country as well. Kettle House brewery is another excellent choice for those rainy days and offers the perfect place to sit back and sip on a decent beer.
If you don’t wish to leave the hotel then there is always the option of staying in your room and using the hotel Wi-Fi that will be at your disposal. There are many things to do online, such as watching films or simply surfing the net, however, many people do enjoy hitting up an online casino for a few thrills. There are a number of online casinos that can be accessed in both real money and demo form and these can offer hours of relaxation and become potentially lucrative. There are a number of land-based casinos as well if a trip of that vein is more appreciated, with the Gray Wolf Casino being a particular hit. There are two historic theatres which offer a range of film festivals throughout the year. The Roxy offers the International Wildlife Film festival while the Wilma has the Big Sky Documentary film festival, which is the largest festival of its kind in the state. The Montana Museum of Art and Culture was established in 1894 on the campus of the University of Montana and contains one of the largest cultural artefact collections in the state. There are 11,000 objects with many of those featured from the Contemporary American West.
