No not the misfiring Chelsea footballer, but more Accurately, the musical musings of one Mackenzie Scott from Nashville Tennessee.
I like this music. It's stripped down and cut from similar cloth as both PJ Harvey and early Cat Power. This suits my musical sensibilities. More accurately, it's a combination of guitar dirge and emotive lyrical themes, which slide into each other like a drop of oil in a glass of water, creating smooth and un-rushed shapes, which in the right light cast a myriad of hypnotic colours. In direct contrast to my last sentence, it's simple and uncluttered, whilst simultaneously avoiding sterility. This is no mean feat, and one that deserves to be celebrated.
