The box is very heavy, and the color of the table is darker than what is shown in the picture. When we opened the box one of the two packages of hardware was apart and we had to take everything out slowly and carefully to make sure we didn’t loose any parts. Then as we went to put the legs on the table top we noticed a split in the wood one the surrounding edge of table and a dent in the side of the wood. It is not so bad that we would return it, because it could come back worse so we just turned that side of the table toward the wall. The box the set comes in is difficult to open because of the glue that is used took about 15 or so minutes to get into. The table top itself took only a few minutes to put together, the chairs on the other hand took about two hours.
