New designer SKYLENCE, is a newly emerging haute couture clothing brand based in central London with international presence in Shanghai and HongKong (still expanding). Their main focus is women’s clothing, ranging from daily wear like coats, dresses, tops, shorts and skirts to evening/occasional suits and dresses. Inspired by French designer CoCo Chanel and the profound Chinese and European history and culture, this brand  aims to create a unique style that combines modern Western and traditional Chinese styles and establish an international fashion brand that draws cultural attributes from around this world. Below are some of their statement pieces:

This is the light purple Chinese style dress coat. Traditional Chinese embroideries and knots at the front are 100% handcrafted by old tailors from Southeast China.

The design of this white tweed suit is inspired by CoCo Chanel. On top of her classic black and white design, oriental cultural elements–Chinese silk with floral patterns are added to the whole outfit. This is a good combined style: classic French style combined with oriental cultural attributes.

This long black coat is the most powerful dressing in all their statement pieces. It’s called ‘Han-style Long Black Coat’. Inspired by ancient Chinese emperors’ dressing style in Han Dynasty (206BC–220AD), the design of this significant coat is also combined with modern contemporary elements revealed by its collars and crafting shape. Dragons’ patterns are intricately embroidered at the back of this coat. Yellow silky embellishments and interior stand for the imperial power of ancient China. This long black coat combines history and modernity together. This one is also from their ‘Salute Collection’.

This black coat is another powerful dressing from ‘Salute Collection’. The design is inspired by ancient Chinese queens’ dressing style in Han Dynasty (206BC–220AD). This is the queen’s style with Phoenix patterns embroidered at the back which stand for the glory of queens in old Chinese history. On the back it’s ‘Two Phoenix fly side by side’. In ancient Chinese history, dragon stands for the emperor and phoenix stands for the queen (wife of the emperor). This coat is also a good example of combining culture, history and modernity.

This is the Baroque style blue Chinese dress. This is the perfect combination of European (West) and Chinese (East) cultural attributes. This dress reveals the cosmopolitan style and modern chinoiserie chic.
