It's Fiber Arts Friday!
I'm wrapping up May with two projects finished. First, the Quicksilver Shawl that I cast on May 8 is done. It was the only knitting I worked on the whole month and I obsessed over it. Who wouldn't? Handspun Suri Alpaca/Merino/Silk from my farm PLUS Wollmeise. Drools and Swoons. I absolutely LOVED every second of working with these yarns and this pattern. It was easy and fun.
Yes, I already have my next knit planned. That I will share next week.
I also finished spinning another skein of yarn. This time I spun a 3 ply with three actual plies of yarn. One bobbin was full of my Suri/Merino Plum Perfect blend. One bobbin was full of faux cashmere dyed by Emily from FiberAddiction. I spun that ply slightly thicker than my Plum Perfect. The final ply was green metallic thread. The yarn ended up being a delicious DK weight.
Now, share your adventures in Fiber Arts!
