Dodos Are Forever by Dick King-Smith

Video Transcript

Hi, everyone. My name’s Juliet and today I’m talking about Dodos are Forever by Dick King-Smith, which I listened to as an audiobook from my library. This book is recommended for ages 8+.

This story, told from the point of view of the dodos, is basically the story of how dodos died out (or did they), told in a way that is engaging for younger readers.

This is quite a short story, with a raft of characters, including a parrot, rats and sea monkeys – any ideas what they are? It highlights our impact on animals and how the introduction of non-native species can be catastrophic.

If you enjoy stories about our impact on the environment, then this could be the one for you.

Another book that has stories from the point of view of animals, is this one, Into the Jungle, which I have a review of on my channel page.

The book description is coming up, don’t forget to like and subscribe if you want to see more videos. Thank you for watching and I’ll see you next time.
