The Shelter stood on a country road

like a wooden covered hut

several bodies had been found inside

as if they had fallen asleep

there was no light the bulb long blown

not a place to be on your own!

Just passing made your being shudder

hoping you would never

wait for a bus in that dilapidated shack

or even breakdown either

accidents to often happened in its shade

animals there never strayed!

Locals well aware of legendary dangers

but tourists often stopped here

besides those who were deeply morose

it had a fascination with them

nowhere else did such a shelter exist

as the deaths here did persist!

In the last century few had researched

upon this spot a hanging post

before this a sacrificial altar was thought

to be on this very cursed blot

but whether you really believed it or not

the facts read like a very dark plot!

To this day the shelter still bleakly stands

those who tried to investigate

could not find an answer yet felt morose

in and around the structure

in the modern days of high technology

had no clues to this mythology!

There is so much in this realm unknown!
