Day 359: How to play and explore your way to what to write

What I was doing was…

Back in the studio (the living room of my flat) today, Playing and developing some more scenes for this solo play. I listened to tunes and danced then picked a random scene to work on, painted a box and eventually wrote a couple of scenes. When I first picked the scene to work on I got a bit stressed because of couldn’t think of anything to Write, then I reminded myself that it wasn’t about sitting down to write, it was about playing and exploring so I followed my urge to draw a Tim Key poetical playing card, paint a box, play with masking tape and then dress up to act out a crime scene detection with myself. Feel I got myself unstuck and found some interesting things to play with, though was on my laptop more than I liked (typing stuff up helped me create the scene so not going to sweat it too much). Another day like this tomorrow, seeing where new scene prompts will take me!
