Day 346: How to let go of the suspense… for now

What I was doing was…

Writing some of a new chapter of the novel redraft this morning before work. Wrote for 15 minutes a scene where my character is being hunted in the mist, snuffling up 472 words of that. My intention is to create a sense of Suspense though I can tell if it’s doing that, so I figured I should just get the broad strokes of what happens first and then go back later to work on making it exciting. Really enjoying Writing this at the moment, hoping there’s variety and a journey in the telling and I’m not just writing variations on the same chapter over and over again. Tomorrow I will carry on much the same, now I’m off to meet a chum out in the world then heading to the office.
