Day 324: How to wipe the slate clean and start afresh

What I was doing was…

Paying attention to the solo show idea I’ve been developing on and off for a year now. This meant, eventually right at the end of the day, wiping the wall clean of everything I’ve written so far (shit the post its have left ghost marks!), and from a blank Slate sitting down to record myself telling the Story. Since a couple of weeks ago when I entered a place of surrender of considering that hey maybe there wasn’t even a story here to tell, I’ve been able to consider the possibility of letting go of what I think I understand already and approach it afresh. Having literally spoken the story aloud, to candle light and family photos, I am feeling emotional and quite relieved -not sure what it will amount to but it feels like a move in a new direction, not being stuck. I will transcribe the recording and try to turn it into something digestible, but tomorrow it is back to the novel.
