Day 311: How to accept that it’s probably not going to be brilliant, but do it anyway

What I was doing was..

Making notes ahead of starting the next chapter of the novel. It’s a relationship dissection scenario basically, but somehow I see it challenging the energy of a mob-style handoff that goes wrong. That’s helpful in giving a focus because there’s a lot of moving parts in this a chapter, a couple of revelations for the main character and the first appearance of another since the beginning so am trying to stick the landing on where she’s at. Bit concerned that it’s trying to do too much and/or what it is trying to achieve hasn’t yet been effectively set up in the preceding chapters -but my thought remains to try my best and just get to the end of the draft and fix it later. Will start writing it tomorrow, now I’m off to the office.
