Well Crazy Stupid Love is a very catchy and attention driving title. I dont know how many of you have seen the film " I LOVE YOU PHILLIP MORRIS " directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Reque , I mean not a great film but a very decent film starring Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor. Both Glenn Ficarra and John Requa make a pretty good team in presenting some freshness in the film. They only Directed I Love You Phillip Morris and this Crazy Stupid Love is their second directorial venture and I gotta admit I mean its an impressive film. Well to speak frankly, I guess movie doesn't deserve such a huge rating as in IMDB scaling 7.7 out of 10. If you look at it, you will soon realize that its a same old story with just new presentation and screenplay. I wanna say " Old Wine in a New Bottle " and that's the apt phrase I can pen. The story is pretty simple, a father battles clocking in and out his emotions regarding his broken marital crisis and trying to manage a positive relationship with his children. How he settle down things, cope with situations, his new decisions, unexpected turn of events makes you feel interesting and adds up to the rest of the film. This film has a very good ending and that is a big boost for the film.

I really have to talk about Ryan Gosling. After a mind-blowing performance in the film "Blue Valentine" he again steals the show in this movie. I am not a big fan of Steve Carell but he is ok and far better from being ok because this time he comes up with a real decent performance. Hmm, I think he will impress many people. Now back to Ryan Gosling, his accent, his presentation, style quotient everything is entirely different from his previous film " Blue Valentine ". His look and especially his facial expressions rock in this film. There are ample close shots in the film for Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling. Yet again, every good film has a silly setback, its Julianne Moore. I mean right from the first frame, You will realize that she is not at all apt for the role " Emily Weaver " w/o Cal Weaver (Steve Carell). She doesn't have charm in her face, look pretty preposterous in almost all outfits and sheesh her emotions on her face makes you laugh. She kinda gave a slutty image to the film. Jennifer Garner or even Sandra Bullock would have rocked this role with super ease. Emma stone looked gorgeous at the same time looking sloppy at some scenes overall a good show by her. Robbie Weaver (Jonnah Bobo) plays Steve Carell's son and I must admit, he is such a kick to the film. After seeing him, you will soon realize that the kids of this generation are way to Ninja personalities for Love and Sex. Just kiddin, or am I ?

Rest of cast like Marisa Tomei, Analeigh Tipton, Joey King, Beth Littleford appear in and out and does their job pretty well. Film goes smooth, calm and not really slow. I mean these kind of films tend to have a very very very jarring screenplay, but surprisingly this doesn't have one such. It has steady pace and some of the scenes are hilarious, well it all makes some sense because is Steve Carell, what do you expect ? well if I had to pick one, I would say ,

Cal ( Steve Carell ) : You know a word that is not used very often anymore ? " Cuckold ". I am Cuckold.

David Lindhagen cuckolded me. He made a cuckold out of me. She slept with my wife and I never knew about it. And that is the definition of cuckoldom.

haha, Just for laughs. Now there's Kevin Bacon who loves to play antogonist and strangely he is not in those shoes in this film. He has a very short time on screen but the whole thing falls apart because of him. I think that's enough to keep the movie rolling for 2 Hours ;). So on a whole its a meaningful perspective of romantic drama yet interesting because its presented in a very good way striking out the predictibility like other routine movies.
