This week, the kids got out of school and I blew the dust off their Kiddie pool. Set it up in the backyard on Wednesday.
Side note: kiddie pools have changed a lot since the 70's and 80's. Mine were hard plastic and tiny; suitable for two kids and a bucket of frogs, capable of being filled up to maybe ten inches. Today, you can drown fifteen adults in a Walmart special.
So I'm in the pool with the girls and the dog, and they're all playing. Lily is giving out free hugs. "Free hugs!" ..."Here you go, Daddy! [Mmmmmm!]" "Oh, thank you Baby!"
Then she goes to give Cara a hug. "No! You already gave me a hug," Cara says. Lily laughed and says, "But they're free!" Cara replies, "I don't want free, I just wanted one!"
