Multiple sources have reported the passing of Grammy-winning Christian music artist Mandisa Hundley.
Mandisa, whose real name was Mandisa Hundley, passed away on April 18 at the age of 47 at her Nashville home, according to K-Love Radio. The reason for her death is still unknown.
Mandisa, who is originally from California, became well-known during the fifth season of “American Idol” and placed in the top 9. With the 2007 publication of her debut album, “True Beauty,” she established herself. But the publication of “Overcomer,” which won the Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album, marked her zenith.

David Pierce, Chief Media Officer of K-LOVE, said in a moving eulogy, “Mandisa’s love for Jesus was palpable, evident in every facet of her life.” She never stopped praising Him on her wide platform. Her voice resounded, her smile shone brightly, her generosity knew no limits, but her heart was greater than all of them. Mandisa had a difficult path, but she bravely opened up about her weaknesses, which inspired us to talk about our own struggles.

Mandisa released five full-length albums and a Christmas LP during her successful career. She also wrote her memoir in 2022, titled “Out of the Dark: My Journey Through the Shadows to Find God’s Joy.”
