A new song written by the second generation of James McCartney-Lennon maintains the musical legacy.
The son of Paul Mccartney, James McCartney, just released “Primrose Hill,” a song he co-wrote with his close friend Sean Ono Lennon, the son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono.
McCartney shared his excitement on Instagram, saying, “With the release of this song, it feels like we’re really getting the ball rolling, and I am so excited to continue sharing music with you.”

Paul McCartney also posted on Facebook, encouraging his followers to listen to his son’s most recent album and thanking Sean Ono Lennon for his involvement in the songwriting process.
James McCartney has launched a contest in conjunction with the release, which invites couples to submit videos that perfectly capture their ideal romantic environments. The deadline for these videos, which feature “Primrose Hill” as the background music, is April 19 at midnight EST. The opportunity to appear in the official music video for the song will be extended to the winners.
