Harvest Loon

Harvest Loon

I went to reap my harvest
But I did not find one there
Where I looked I cannot say
It is not here but somewhere

The more I seek my harvest
The more something seems so wrong
My mind it aches - it breaks - oh for heaven sakes
I forgot to put my glasses on

OH! Now I see my harvest!
It has grown huge from a tiny seed
Do you want some of my harvest?
I have more than I shall need.

The poem and artwork were triggered by the daily poem prompt on social media tagged #vss365; the daily prompt in question was "Harvest".

Sometimes it is hard to describe how I produce some of my art. Sometimes I just feel taken over and things happen fast. It feels as if something (I don't honestly know what) is channeling me (again wrong word) or inspiring me to generate the art I create.

Another way to look at it is that I have half a century of frustration built up inside me. I never got to be an artist and to create, I was stuck in suits and meetings most of the time. Therefore, I believe it is possible that my subconscious brain (read some NLP to understand what I mean) is dying to come out and express years of artistic ideas and that feeling takes me over (a joyous feeling btw).

Note, the AI orchestrated painting was created to blend the Cobra group of artists and Franz Marc type artwork. I have added the glasses to tie into the poem and add to the loony feel both pieces should generate.

You can download a full poster print ready version of the digital artwork from HERE.
