The student body, drawn from the United States and some 40 other countries, works together with a distinguished faculty, many of whom have international origins. Facilities include modern classrooms, computer laboratories with Internet access, and a University Library which houses multiple volumes and subscribes to over 50 periodical, and professional journals. Students have direct access to MELVYL, which is the online catalog network for the campuses of the University of California. Undergraduate students may complete their programs in three years if they enroll four quarters per year on a full-time basis. Graduate students may complete their degrees in two years if they have met pre-program requirements. The academic year has four eleven-week quarters.
