MISSION RANIGANJ REVIEW -AKSHAYA KUMAR

  • Mission Raniganj - The Great Indian Rescue – Mission Raniganj – The Great Indian Rescue is a Bollywood movie featuring Akshaya Kumar, Parineeti Chopra, Ravi Kishan, Pawan Malhotra, Kumud Mishra. Jamil Khan,  Diyendhu Bhattacharya, and Varun Badola. Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai and the length is 2 Hours and 18 Minutes
Story and Plot
  • The movie is officially based on the life of mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill and his rescue operation to save the lives of 65 mining engineers trapped in the Raniganj coal mine how this rescue operation was executed and what problems he faced while this operation the movie is all about that
  • Review
  • The Shiney part of the screenplay comes straight to its  business without talking any nonsense the movie is engaging from the first scene where the workers got trapped in the coal mine to the scene  where miners trapped  till the climax
  • A survival thriller like this must be full of moments filled with tension and thrill and in that department, the director Tinu Suresh Desai scores full marks the way  he presented on the big screen and the way Akshaya Kumar used that capsule was a treat to watch on the big screen  inspiring as well as engaging and will keep viewers  glued to their seats as a viewer the way the whole rescue how miners were dealing with the situation and how Jaswant Singh Gill trying  his level best to get help the miners out all these shown in a gripping manner

  • But this rescue was not a doddle. There were many Cut corners in their way finding a way of reaching the mining engineers the movie has thrilling moments. The movie is mainly focused on the rescue mission  from the first scene and also on politics by Diyendhu Bhattacharya who was against the miners
  • Acting

  • Akshaya Kumar is a commendable actor and he gave another sincere performance in his role the way he dealt with the situation  is interesting and a treat to watch on the nig screen and the way Akshaya Kumar was looking was a treat to watch
  • And rest of the cast Actors like Parineeti Chopra, Jamil Khan, Divyedhu  Bhattacharya, Jamil Khan, Kumud Mishra, and Pawan Malhotra were sincere in their roles so all the actors did commendable jobs
  • After Akshaya Kumar, the actor who deserves a special mention, his performance was Ravi Kishan  the way he portrayed his frustration on his face made him the best of the lot in terms of acting
  • Direction
  • The direction by Tinu Suresh Desai was  decent but could be better he presented an inspiring tale of Jaswant Singh Gill but such kind stories need a better direction as the movie belongs survival thriller  genre and should have an “Edge-of-the-seat experience “ A perfect example is the genre can be Airlift where the rescue operation was shown in a more engaging and inspiring way

  • VFX
  • VFX is the weakest department of this movie in a movie like Mission Raniganj where a major part is water but the way that water was shown on the screen was looking very Gimmicky
  • Final Verdict
  • Lastly. Mission Raniganj is a movie with an interesting storyline and commendable performance by Akshaya Kumar and all the actors but below-average VFX  has spoiled the party
