In the first part of this sci-fi saga, our mischievous protagonist Loki (played by Tom Hiddleston) found himself in an alternate timeline alongside Sylvie (portrayed by Sophia Di Martino). The duo had just encountered He Who Remains, also known as Kang (brought to life by Jonathan Majors). This all-knowing entity offered them a mind-boggling choice – to seize control of the Time Variance Agency (TVA) and jointly oversee the timelines. Considering they’re both variations of the cunning god Loki, the multiverse isn’t too keen on them being together. However, Loki, deeply smitten by Sylvie, was ready to take charge of the TVA to keep their bond intact.
The twist? Sylvie is on a determined mission to bring down Kang, after evading the clutches of the TVA throughout her life. She shares a passionate kiss with Loki and guides him through a portal, all so she can confront and vanquish Kang, liberating the multiverse. When Loki regains consciousness at the TVA, he realizes that Morbius (played by Owen Wilson) doesn’t recognize him anymore, and a statue of Kang has replaced the Time Keepers’ monument. It’s crystal clear that Loki has somehow landed in the wrong timeline, but the big question remains – can he find his way back?
