The first batch of Kalashnikov AK-203 assault Rifle, made with the joint efforts of India and Russia, is ready. It will soon be handed over to the Indian Army for regular operation. A total of 6.01 lakh assault rifles are being produced in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh.

The strength of the Indian Army is going to become even more powerful. The first batch of Kalashnikov AK-203 assault rifle, made with the joint efforts of India and Russia, has been ready at the Korva Ordnance Factory located in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh. These rifles will soon be handed over to the Indian Army. After which the army will start using it in regular operations.

A total of 6.01 lakh assault rifles are being produced for the Indian Army. This deadly weapon, which is being prepared for the army, is now being given training to the army soldiers. Trained soldiers of Grenadiers Regimental Center of Central Command have taken special training in AK-203 assault rifles. This is the first 15 member Infantry Regimental Center batch of the Indian Army to be trained in this rifle.

AK-203 is better, easier and deadlier

AK-203 is the most advanced assault rifle of the Kalashnikov series. The name of the company which is making it is Indo-Rasia Rifles Private Limited (IRRPL). With the arrival of this rifle, the use of INSAS in India will stop, or will be greatly reduced. AK-203 is better, easier and deadlier than INSAS in many respects.

Along with this, the Indian Army would like to use AK-203 rifle instead of AK-47. Because AK-203 is a more lethal, accurate and advanced weapon. Apart from this, AK-47 is being used in most of the terrorist activities, hence FORAGE wants to include a more deadly and stronger weapon than that. The AK-203 is considered to be the most modern and reliable rifle of the AK series. The AK-203 can be used in automatic and semi-automatic modes.

Features of AK-203 rifle

The AK-203 rifle is smaller and lighter than the INSAS. INSAS weighs 4.15 kg even without magazine and bayonet. This rifle will be easy for the army personnel to handle and use in any operation. It will be very effective even in night operations. By reducing the weight and length the rifle can be carried for a longer period of time. The rifle will be made by combining only eight to nine parts.
