Luxman L-509Z: LECUA-EX Integrated Amplifier control and LIFES1.0 feedback system
Luxman, a company with just two years remaining until its centenary, is gearing up for the occasion by introducing new products, and one of them is the L-509Z integrated device. Notably, this device features Luxman's proprietary LIFES1.0 feedback system, which is a first for both the preamplifier and power amplifier circuits. Additionally, it debuts the electronic control LECUA-EX, a computerized precision attenuator with 88 discrete steps, within the Luxman Ultimate Attenuator-EX concept.
The L-509Z model finds its place in the Luxman portfolio, replacing the L-509X and becoming part of the Z series alongside the 2022 L-507Z. The new product incorporates a phono preamplifier with switchable gain, a thoroughly redesigned three-band tone block, 12-volt triggers, and a 7-segment LED volume level indicator.
In terms of headphone capabilities, the L-509Z features both the standard 6.3 mm jack and a five-pin balanced Pentaconn 4.4 jack. The device is encased in a robust aluminum panel body supported by cast iron legs with a density gradient. Its top panel showcases the classic Luxman finish with 28 individually cut vents, and the device weighs just under 30 kg. Additionally, a remote control is included with compatibility for Luxman digital players released after 1996. This combination of features and design elements marks Luxman's commitment to delivering high-quality audio experiences as it approaches its centenary milestone.
