1. 'CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION' |
Former President Donald Trump and 18 allies were indicted by a Georgia grand jury on charges of trying to overturn his 2020 election loss in that state. The indictment alleges Trump and allies — including his attorney Rudy Giuliani and Mark Meadows, his chief of staff — acted as "a criminal organization" trying to subvert the election by, among other things, pressuring Georgia's secretary of state to "find" enough votes for Trump to win the state and lobbying state lawmakers to appoint a fraudulent slate of electoral college voters.
Trump has now been charged with 91 crimes in four cases. Nine more indictments and he'll get one for free. |

At least 99 people have been found dead in Maui since last week's wildfires. Hawaii Gov. Josh Green told CBS Mornings they're bracing for "many more tragic stories" and expect to find 10 or 20 people killed by the fires each day until the search is over. He pledged a comprehensive review of why sirens and other warnings didn't alert people to evacuate before the fire.

Four divers were rescued after they were reported missing off the coast of the Carolinas in an area with so many shipwrecks it's known as the "Graveyard of the Atlantic." The Coast Guard and Navy teamed up to rescue the men, who were on a pleasure craft named Big Bill's. Glad they're safe, but "Graveyard of the Atlantic" should have been the first clue to not go there.

In the first case of its kind, a Montana judge sided with young climate activists and ruled that state agencies are violating the state's constitutional mandate to provide a "clean and healthful environment" by giving permits for coal, oil and gas without considering the projects' emissions. The state's Republican-run legislature will try to limit the ruling's impact, but it may set an important precedent for similar challenges in other states.

Former NFL offensive lineman Michael Oher says the couple that he thought adopted him as an 18-year-old had actually tricked him into signing over rights to proceeds from his life story, which was made into the bestselling book and Oscar-winning movie The Blind Side. According to his lawsuit to end the conservatorship of Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy, Oher, now 37, learned only in February that the agreement did not make him part of their family. |

A woman who slipped on a piece of prosciutto and broke her ankle is suing the Boston location of Eataly for not cleaning its floors. No word if Eataly will coppa to her claims. Appropriately, prosciutto sounds like the cartoon noise for slipping on a thin slice of cured ham.
