In a heart-wrenching incident, Victoria Idowu, a 49-year-old Woman, was found dead after reportedly hanging herself from a ceiling fan in her home located in the Magboro area of Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State. The incident, which occurred on Sunday, April 21, 2024, has left the community in shock.

According to reports, the deceased's son discovered the distressing scene upon returning from a church service, prompting him to raise an alarm. Omolola Odutola, the spokesperson for the police command, confirmed the tragic event to Punch, stating that the son found his mother hanging with a rope from the ceiling fan in her bedroom.

Following the distress call, officers from the Ibafo Division swiftly responded and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Victoria Idowu's death. No suicide note was found at the scene, deepening the mystery behind the tragic incident.

While the investigation continues, Omolola Odutola emphasized the importance of providing support to individuals grappling with mental health challenges.
