Shettima addresses a range of issues related to unemployment and poverty.

Vice President Kashim Shettima has urged universities, particularly the accredited 43 federal universities, to play a key role in generating employment opportunities across various sectors of the nation's economy.


 Speaking at the 24th combined convocation ceremony of the University of Maiduguri, he emphasized the importance of institutions fostering a purpose of creating jobs and wealth to address the challenges of Poverty and Unemployment in the country. 


Shettima highlighted the noble duty of serving humanity and acknowledged the impact of education on his own journey, describing himself as a product of a civilization that values education.
