4 Federal Varsity students from Gusau were abducted.

The Nigerian Army's Operation Hadarin Daji, in conjunction with the Zamfara Police Command, successfully liberated the four abducted students from the Federal University Gusau (FUGUS).

The aforementioned statement was released by Capt. Yahaya Ibrahim, the Information Officer of Operation Hadarin Daji, in Gusau on Sunday.

The joint forces of Operation Hadarin Daji, in collaboration with the state police command, successfully liberated the four students of the Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) who were unlawfully taken captive by terrorists in their off-campus residences in Sabongida Community on Saturday.

The successful rescue operation was executed by the troops in response to the distress call regarding the tragedy.

The military personnel promptly initiated mobilization and established a strategic defensive position along a potential evacuation path, resulting in a significant exchange of gunfire with the extremist combatants.

Yahaya provided an account stating that the terrorists relinquished their hold on the victims at approximately 12:00 a.m. during the confrontation with our superior military force, subsequently resulting in their successful rescue by the forces.

The aforementioned incident involved the abduction of 25 students from the same educational institution and nine construction workers within the same town, as reported by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

Up until the present moment, the security officers have successfully rescued a total of thirteen students and three construction workers, while the remaining individuals continue to remain in the custody of the bandits.
