Kogi Guber: Thousands turn out in Kogi West for Ododo and the APC declares there is no opening for the opposition

Thousands of supporters turned out on Saturday for a sizable APC rally in Kabba, Kogi West Senatorial District, in support of Usman Ododo, the party's candidate for governor.


At the wildly successful gathering, which highlighted the overwhelming support for the APC candidate in Okunland, crucial players clearly said that there would be no space for alternative political parties in the region for the upcoming governorship race.

"There is no space for opposing political parties in Kogi West, as per our people's mandate. Funsho Olumoko, the director general of the Kogi West APC Governorship Campaign, stated, "We are prepared to provide the APC with the best results possible.


Yomi Awoniyi, a former deputy governor of Kogi State, remarked that the Okun people were determined to speak with one voice in support of the APC.


"Our team has decided to perform for APC. In the Kogi State governor race on November 11, our people will vote for stability and continuity, he said.


The Director General of the Kogi State APC Governorship Campaign, Shaibu Abubakar, Minister of Steel Development, claimed that the large turnout of supporters showed that the APC had no competition. He also expressed confidence that the Party will triumph admirably on November 11.


Let's turn out in large numbers to support Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo. This will allow him to expand on the achievements of Governor Yahaya Bello in a variety of areas, including infrastructure, enormous job creation, security, and many more. Lokoja Kogi Federal Constituency is a no-go region for the opposition, according to Kogi State House of Assembly Speaker Rt. Hon. Umar Aliyu, who also noted that the locals will appreciate the APC for its accomplishments and for providing them a sense of belonging.

They all agreed that Kogi West was still off-limits to the opposition, pointing out that this had been sealed by the power of the APC structure and the accomplishments of the current State government.


Usman Ododo, the APC candidate for governor of Kogi State, declared in his speech that he was dedicated to building on the advancement and development made by Governor Bello.


"I'm ready to serve and turn the State's progress into a new page. I'm prepared to assure sustainability and consolidation since Governor Yahaya Bello has set up the State with a strong basis, the man stated.


Kogi West residents were urged to band together to build a government that would address their needs and ambitions by Governor Yahaya Bello.


"My administration's accomplishments are clear to everyone to see. We must not be complacent at this point. With the various plans the Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration has for Kogi State, we cannot afford to be in the opposition.


"We have created and restored our infrastructure over the past few years. Kogi now has the means and resources to serve the public. We cannot allow ourselves to fall behind.


To enable consolidation, togetherness among our people, and to ensure that the next generation of Kogi West residents may be proud of what has been accomplished, the governor urged voters to support the APC.


The reception of decampees from the PDP and other opposition political parties, as well as the handing of the flag to the APC governorship candidate, were the rally's highlights.


The campaign team had already met with Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi, the Obaro of Kabba, HRM, who gave the State Government his assurance of continued support from traditional leaders.


He emphasized that the populace would return the goodwill shown to the residents of Kogi West by the current administration.
